Ok, I've been bad at keeping the news updated. CD has been out for a while. We are recording a new one presently. Bunch of shows coming up.

How many times have I told you guys that we are releasing a CD "soon"? Sorry about that. We are close. We will probably just put out the 4 songs we have done as an EP as soon as we can, and then drop a real full-length on you later on this year.
We actually started recording more songs last weekend, so someday there will be about 15 finished tunes out there for you guys. Hopefully that will be soon.
The new stuff is really rocking compared to our last batch. We are doing it ourselves over at analog divide studios. risky, but fun.

April 2nd at the Lucky Dog is cancelled. Sorry about that.

Ok, so I have been slacking on the "news." We mixed 4 songs that we will most likely release as an EP pretty soon. I put them all up on the songs page as mp3s. (there are some other interesting things in the "blog.radio" player, too) We still have a bunch of other songs in the can and we plan on laying down basics for new tunes as well. It will be good to get a document of what we sound like now, as opposed to a year ago (we did basics in mid-January of 2004, so we have changed quite a bit since then). Once we get rolling with a real release, hopefully we will get on a more regular schedule of recording and releasing CDs. God knows we have enough songs.
We now feature Elio Deluca on keyboards. Elio is a great guy who you have probably seen running sound at TTs or other various rooms around town. We hope to add his flavor to some upcoming recordings.
We have a ton of upcoming shows, a lot of which are out of town, but we have some sweet ones coming up. Stay tuned.

POSTER SHOW!
The artwork of the Irreverends will be on display at Somerville City Hall from November 15th through February 15th as part of The Poster Show!, which features posters by somerville artists or posters featuring somerville events or bands.
So if you want to see some cool artwork, stop by Somerville City Hall on Highland Ave. The opening is on December 2nd. This is my first official "showing," so I am pretty excited about it.
I did the ads, too:

And don't forget I am playing with the Dirty Truckers at the Abbey on Nov. 19th and the Adam White Solo dates on December 8th at Club Passim in Cambridge and the 9th at the Java Hut in Worcester.

Adam White Solo
Well, we aren't really playing a whole lot of shows at the moment, but I posted a couple dates of solo shows for Adam. It's a little different than what he does with the band, but you should all check it out if you get a chance.
Also, I am playing guitar with the Dirty Truckers at the Abbey on November 19th. I am not sure of any Nonfamous gigs at the moment, but keep an eye out for them, as Chris rocks out on the drums with them.
We added a show in Bar Harbor the day after Thanksgiving, if you just happen to be in the middle part of Maine at that time, stop by and check it out. It's always a good time.

Fall
I don't know if anyone actually reads this stupid thing, but here's your update, bucko.
We played a show with Magnolia Electric Company last week that was wicked sweet, as we say in Maine. I got to "jam out" with them on their last two songs (one of which is "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere," one of my favorite Byr...i mean... Dylan tunes) and that had me pretty excited for the rest of the week. I gave Jason Molina a bunch of posters and I was genuinely impressed with just how god damned nice they all were in that band. Your typical "road dogs" aren't too psyched about a whole lot except for drink tickets and maybe your trying to bone your girlfriend. So, that was refreshing. After the show, I couldn't stop thanking them for letting me play with them, I'm sure I was obnoxious, but they made my month. Thanks be to Carl Lavin of the Plan/Great Scott for hooking us up solid on that gig. Here's a pic of it. I look like a ghost!:

Ok, enough jibber jabber. We have a show coming up on October 29th at the Cantab Lounge Underground with our old pals Lucky 57 and James O'Brien (solo). Closing out the night will be the Irish hooliganism of the Gobshites. The last time I was in the downstairs part of the Cantab Lounge, it looked like something out of Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo, with fake graffiti graphix and chainlink fencing all over the place. (The place used to be called the Third Rail). Rumour has it, they have renovated and put a stage and a nice PA in there and are trying to make it into another viable Central Sq. Club. $8 gets you into the show, and as a bonus, you can hang out upstairs and watch the infamous Peanut Man, Lil' Joe Cook (you should check it out, he's fun).
In other news... Chris is playing with Ryan Lee in The Nonfamous, a cool band made up of cool people. I might be doing a little slutting around on the guitar as well.
That's it for now, homeslices.

Coming Soon....ish
Well, Chris and I went into the studio last weekend to do some guitar overdubs. It was good to make some progress on the still-nebulous recording we are working on. I did a bunch of solos (which I am way too picky about, so it takes a little time). We were pleased to have completed the solos to Evangeline, since that song is currently 7:40 and has a nearly two minute solo at the end (not a typo). You may be thinking "Two minutes? What the hell, Yngwie??!?" Well, I didn't do any two-hand tapping on it or anything... it's sort of a "like a hurricane" style jam... ok, it's got a little pyro in it, but it's not a George Lynch clinic or anything.
We have a show coming up on Sept 3rd at the Middle East Upstairs. Hope you all can make it. It should be a fun night. On the bill are Destruct-a-thon, the Marvels and Robby Roadsteamer (it's his CD release party). We go on last. I'm currently totally slacking on making a poster for it.
